This year I have decided there will be no new year, new me as I don't want change, I just want more. More art, more designs, move creativity. So in 2019 I want to invest more time into my art and design work. It's relaxing and therapeutic and the World needs more of it.
Look out for more of my work. https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/WestwoodArtDesigns

It is so surreal to see your designs come to life onto fabric. I'm still new at this but it's a great feeling telling everybody thats your design. I designed this a year ago and have been waiting to post this for a while. I feel incredibly proud to say this was from my very first design job straight out of uni, just after 6 weeks into the job.
As a designer there are times when it is very frustrating and difficult to find work, inspiration or time. But you really do have to power through because in the end when it all comes together and works out, it's so worth it.
My scarf is in ACCESSORIZE!! I have waited about 6 months to post this but I am so happy to say that one of the prints I helped work on is now on sale in store. It is such a weird crazy feeling seeing it hanging in the shops, such a proud moment I wanted to tell everyone.
Find it in stores now or online at - https://uk.accessorize.com/view/product/uk_catalog/acc_5.1/5871397000?skipRedirection=true&utm_source=criteo&dclid=CPiUv76Ckt0CFU500wod6wIPaw
I was offered an amazing opportunity to work as an Assistant print designer for 3 months for Monsoon Accessorize in their head office in London, Notting Hill.
I've never been or wanted to be a Londoner, but this was an offer I could not refuse. Being a recent graduate working under such a huge big branded name was incredible. I learnt so much and met the most lovely friendly people and I enjoyed ever second of it. I am so pleased to say that some of the designs I worked on will be on sale soon in stores Worldwide, which is a great achievement that I am going to share with you and yes, I am going to buy them! I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity and the people there who supported me and I cannot wait to see what the next adventure holds.
It was such an incredible experience to have my work on display in Uni, watching people coming and looking at my work and listening to people talk about it was great. I had the pleasure of talking to people from industry and made a few connections. The degree show brought my three years at Trent to a close and it was an excellent send off, wishing I could go back and do those three years all over again.
Its onwards and upwards for now and here's to the next chapter and whatever the future holds. ![]() The end of my time at University is closely coming to an end, I have had an incredible three years and learnt so much I can carry forward with me. I am very excited to see what the future holds and the show is going to be amazing. The image of the right is a sneak peak of my collection that will be on display in the Bonington Gallery.
